St. Peter’s Brewery is based at St. Peter South Elmham, near Bungay in Suffolk.  The brewery itself was built in 1996 and is housed in an attractive range of traditional former agricultural buildings adjacent to St. Peter’s Hall.  


St. Peter's Brewery brew ‘traditional’ beers (bitters, mild etc.)  as well as some more unusual beers such as honey porter and fruit beer. (they are replicating what was common practice up to the Nineteenth Century to add fruits and honey to beers to create special seasonal brews).

Best Bitter, 3.7% abv

Traditional Best Bitter brewed with Pale and Crystal malts and Goldings aroma hops.  A full-bodied ale with distinctive fruity caramel notes.

Christmas Ale, 7.0% abv

A smooth, fruity, full-bodied ale.

Cream Stout, 6.5% abv

Fuggles’ and ‘Challenger’ hops plus a blend of 5 local malts create an aromatic, strong, dark chocolate cream stout with a satisfying bittersweet aftertaste. 

Dark G-Free, 3.9% abv

Suffolk grown, Sovereign bittering hops provide the floral notes for this full bodied beer.

G-Free™, 4.2% abv

A clean, crisp, gluten free ale with a pilsner lager style finish and aromas of citrus and mandarin from American Amarillo hops. 

Golden Ale, 4.7% abv

A Golden Ale, with English Pale malts coupled with Challenger and Goldings hops provide the bitterness and aroma. 

Grapefruit, 4.7% abv

The zesty/pithy grapefruit is in complete harmony with the hops and malt.

Honey Porter, 4.5% abv

A traditional English porter finished with honey.

India Pale Ale, 4.5% abv

This Pale Ale  is traditionally highly hopped, full bodied with a zesty character. 

Mild, 3.7% abv

Sweetness balanced by bitter chocolate malt to produce a rare but much sought after traditional Mild.

Old Style Porter, 5.1% abv

Dark in colour and complex in taste.

Organic Ale, 4.5% abv

A delicate, clean, crisp, lightly carbonated, traditional English Ale with a full ‘citrus hop’ aftertaste. 

Organic Best Bitter, 4.1% abv

Full-bodied organic best bitter with a refreshing after-taste.

Ruby Red Ale, 4.3% abv

A tawny red ale with subtle malt undertones and a distinctive spicy hop aroma from Cascade hops.  Ruby Red won a Silver Medal in the 2010 International Beer Challenge.

Strong Ale, 5.1% abv

A traditional English strong ale.  Challenger and Goldings hops act in perfect harmony with Suffolk malt and our unique, pure water. 

Suffolk Gold, 4.9% abv

Suffolk grown First Gold hops provide the bitterness and aroma for this well hopped premium beer.  This is brewed with Suffolk malt to produce a full bodied ale with a lasting hop aroma.

Summer Ale, 6.5% abv

This is a rich and complex Summer Ale.  Light Suffolk malts combine with Hereford and Worcester hops to form a quite magnificent brew. Smooth and full on the palate with a satisfying, long lasting hop finish.

The Saints Whisky Beer, 4.8% abv

A balanced beer with ‘smokey’ overtones from peated malt.  With a measure of English Whisky from St. George’s Distillery in Norfolk, it is rich in flavour.
