Aldeby, Norfolk

Engel fine ales (Opa Hay's Brewery) is a small family run  handcrafted micro-brewery situated in the village of Aldeby on the Norfolk/Suffolk border.

Liquid Bread, 5.2% abv

Bavarian Style wheat beer which comes naturally cloudy because of the use of original Bavarian Wheat Beer Yeast, gives a distinct aroma of cloves and banana. 

SEMP, 4.8% abv

A Pilsner style beer made with continental style yeast, light in colour and a hoppy aroma, using German Hallertou Hops.

Ale de Cologne, 4.8% abv

This beer is inspired by Koelsch, a light drinkable ale from the Rhineland. Contains Barley and Wheat. 

Matilda's Revenge, 4.3% abv

Golden ale made with Boudicca hops, originally brewed to commemorate the resident ghost that haunts The Kings's Head Hotel. 

Biere Noir, 5.2% abv

This is a pale amber beer with an aroma of honey and with bubbles of ginger and a range of subtle spices. 

Red Oktober, 6.0% abv

A Bavarian style beer normally brewed for beer festivals such as Octoberfest.  Has a malty aroma and a hint of sweetness from the use of cara malt.

A very pleasant dark beer made with Bavarian wheat beer yeast which gives some fruity overtones.

Fruity Little Number, 3.6% abv

A copper coloured session ale brewed with Boadicea and Celia hops which give a lot of fruity aromas of peach and citrus.

Harold Godwinson, 6.5% abv

Copper coloured old fashioned English strong ale made with a special wheat beer yeast which gives a spicy aroma. 

Engel's Best Bitter, 4.0% abv

A triple hopped aromatic beer, a very old fashioned traditional Engelish ale.
