Ferrers, Essex

Crouch Vale Brewery is situated close to the River Crouch in the county of Essex and was established in 1981.  They are a small, independent brewery and committed to the brewing and supplying the finest cask conditioned ales.   

 

Crouch Vale Brewery have won many awards, including the ultimate cask ale accolade – CAMRA’s “Supreme Champion Beer of Britain”, gained by ‘Brewers Gold’ in both 2005 and 2006.   Brewers Gold, which is an extremely drinkable 4% a.b.v., accounts for over 60% of production and is acclaimed worldwide as a leading example of the ‘Golden Ale’ style, with wonderful aromas and flavour from carefully selected ingredients.


Brewers Gold, 5.0% abv

Pale, refreshing and hoppy golden ale.  Tropical fruit flavours.  Supreme champion beer of Great Britain 2005 & 2006.


Blackwater Mild, 3.7% abv

Smooth and malty dark mild, fruity and full.


Essex Boys Best Bitter, 3.7% abv

Full bodied and malty with hops shining through.  A classic session beer


Yakima Gold, 4.2% abv

Very pale with Amarillo hops, therefore earthily aromatic and highly drinkable.


Amarillo, 5.0% abv

A premium golden ale with wonderful aroma and a lasting spicy flavour.


Anchor Street Porter, 4.9% abv

A new recipe with far more hops, so more porter-ey, more à la mode and even more interesting.
