Meet the Team

While I’m all too often the grinning idiot on camera when it comes to discussing beer & brewing life here at Arran Brewery, I think we’re long overdue for a post introducing the tireless Team who make our award winning beers possible. Please take some time to appreciate the hard working souls behind your favourite beers:

Helga (Office Manager)

Helga is one of the longest serving employees here at Arran Brewery (she actually was one of the members of the panel during my very own interview!), and really is the steady hand on the rudder.

Those of you who have visited our brewery in the past may have met Helga on one of the many tours she has conducted over the years, or had the pleasure of her friendly welcome when visiting the shop. She loves to make every guest feel welcome, and works tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure the brewery is a friendly, collaborative and productive environment. Many a member of staff has had a bad day softened by her laidback, stress free attitude - so much so, we dedicated a beer to her!

Esk (Customer Relations)

Esk joined our team here last summer, and was quick to establish herself as a natural fit with the delicate job of customer relations. She works tirelessly to ensure that our customers are absolutely delighted with their mail orders, and is not afraid to chase up the logistics team to ensure your order gets to you in prompt fashion.

While the pandemic has been difficult for all us, Esk has truly risen above and beyond the call of duty, adjusting to working from home with no complaints at all - even relishing the occasional breath of fresh air to stretch her legs in between Zoom calls and Development Meetings.

If you’ve enjoyed a delicious case of Arran beer from our online shop, you can be sure that Esk was on the ball to see it safely to your door.

Morag (Trainee Brewer)

Morag is the newest member of the Team here at the brewery, and will be learning the tricky processes of beer production, filtration and counter-pressure bottling as part of the Production Team.

Boasting the second best facial hair within the Team already, Morag is a real go-getter, who makes up for her lack of experience within the industry with sheer enthusiasm. She will be working closely with myself to develop her training over the coming years, but I’m confident she’ll be studying for her General Certificate in Brewing in no time at all; all under the careful supervision of the Office Manager, of course!

Once again, let this serve as a small token of my appreciation to the above members of our Team - their tireless efforts make our Brewery a joy to work in. And - hopefully - will be ready to welcome you back for a tour in the near future!
