Milestone Special Reserve & our Clyde Puffer Special Reserve, have spent 3 months fermenting in used whisky barrels. They definitely have not spent the same amount of time on our shop shelf. We are down to our last few remaining bottles of this year`s special reserves.

What makes them so special, I hear you ask?

Our deliciously light Clyde Puffer oatmeal stout was into a used Machrie Moor whisky cask from our friends at the Isle of Arran Distillery for a few months. The result is a light stout that has a tasty whisky finish.

Our award winning Milestone Ale, has been aged it in Arran Machrie Moor Whisky Casks which were previous used for making Bourbon, making a distinctive Special Reserve (ALC. 6%) for this year with a sweet edge to a delightfully smooth, warming beer. Milestone Special Reserve is available in 750ml Champagne style bottles to finish off the presentation of this truly special beer.
